The English all-rounder, who returned from India without playing a single match, will not play a fourth match

England all-rounder Chris Washak has returned to India without a match. The 31-year-old was included in the squad for the Test match but it has been decided to send him back for rotation. Earlier, all-rounder Moin Ali and wicketkeeper-batsman Jose Butler were released from the ongoing tour.

Chris Washak has been with the England team for a long time which is why he has been allowed out of the bio-bubble. He was part of the team that played against India after South Africa and Sri Lanka. Now they will have the opportunity to go back to England and spend some time with family. The England and Wales Cricket Board has introduced a rotation policy to keep players away from the hassle of staying in the bio-bubble.

Under the rotation policy, wicketkeeper-batsman Jose Butler and all-rounder Moin Ali were sent back to England. Johnny Benito and Mark Wood were left out of the first two matches after joining the team. Joffra Archer and Ben Stokes were also rested before visiting India.

The third match of the four-match series between India and England was played in Ahmedabad which was completed in just two days. India won the series 2-1 and dashed England’s hopes of reaching the final of the Test Championship.
