The mini-auction for the new T20 league season will take place on February 14 in Chennai. The BCCI may also announce the date of the IPL 2021 event soon. It is hoped that this time around, the program could begin on April 11.

The BCCI has successfully hosted its first domestic cricket tournament, the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, during Koro’s tenure and the final will be played today. After the league, the Indian Cricket Board will now host the Vijay Hazare One Day Cricket Tournament.

The IPL is likely to start after the end of the domestic tournament and the end of the India-England series. Currently, the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council have almost set the date for this year’s T20 league.

Speaking to a BCCI newspaper, the BCCI official said, “The final decision on IPL 2021 will be taken by the Governing Council but the start date of IPL 2021 is from April 11. The series against England will end in March and the players will also have a good time to rest for IPL 14. ‘

The final of the 14th season of the IPL could take place in the first week of June. The two-month long series between India and England will end with the last ODI on March 28 in Pune. By that time many other international series will also be gone. In a span of two weeks, players will travel and complete their quarantine period.
