New Delhi: According to BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, the Indian team will tour Sri Lanka in July. Meanwhile, Team India’s second team will arrive in Sri Lanka, as the Test team, led by Virat Kohli, will be in England for the Test series against England.
India will play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches during the tour of Sri Lanka. The Indian team is expected to reach Sri Lanka on July 5 for the tour. All matches during the Sri Lanka tour will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. This was hinted by SLC chairman Arjun de Silva in a conversation with the broadcaster.
“We want to finish all the matches in one place,” he said. The plan so far is that Premdasa could be the place. According to media reports, Paras Mahambre could be the coach of the team that will travel to Sri Lanka.
Because regular coach Ravi Shastri will be in England with Team India for the England Test series at that time. It is learned that Rahul Dravid may also accompany the team to Sri Lanka. However, according to BCCI sources, nothing is certain yet.
After reaching Sri Lanka on July 5, the Indian team can play all three matches of the ODI series on July 13, 16 and 19. The Indian team will return home on July 28 after playing three matches of the T20 series on July 22, 24 and 27.
