New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) coach Stephen Fleming has confirmed that the team’s star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will not be able to play more matches in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite the absence of the West Indies legend, the three-time champions CSK started their campaign with a 5-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, September 19.
In a post-match press conference, Fleming said Dwayne would be out for a few more matches. Bravo suffered an injury during the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and missed the final due to a knee injury.
Playing in place of Bravo, England all-rounder Sam Curran scored 18 off six balls to help CSK reach the target, while Ambati Rayudu and Faf Duplessis hit half-centuries. Kuren was also impressive in bowling, giving up 28 runs in four overs for one wicket. “Kuren’s performance was brilliant,” Fleming said.
