New Delhi: Delhi Capitals (DC) wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will not be able to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for at least a week due to a hamstring strain. This information was given by the team captain Shreyas Iyer.
Pant was injured during the match against Rajasthan Royals on Friday and did not play in the match against defending champions Mumbai Indians on Sunday. Delhi lost the match by 5 wickets.
Asked after the match how much time Pant would not be available to play, Iyer said, “I don’t know.” “He has to rest for a week and I hope he comes back strong,” the doctor said.
Delhi will face Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, October 13 and Chennai Super Kings on Saturday this week. On Sunday, Australia’s Alex Carey was included in the playing XI in place of Pant.
