IPL: Captain Kohli gets double hit, loses one match


New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has suffered a double whammy at the start of the 13th season of the IPL. One is that he lost the match on Thursday, September 24, due to the failure of the team and himself and has now been fined.

He will have to pay a fine of Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate in the match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). In their second match of the current IPL, RCB lost by 97 runs. Captain Kohli could not contribute in any section against KXIP.

According to the Indian Premier League (IPL), “This was his team’s first violation of the season in terms of minimum over speed violation under the IPL code of conduct. Kohli has been fined Rs 12 lakh.”

Kohli dropped two catches by Rahul, one at deep midwicket on the final ball of the 17th over, while he could not catch a long shot from the final ball of the 18th over. Rahul was 83 and 89, respectively. After this, he scored a banging century.
