IND Vs ENG: Akshar Patel to play second Test, leave of both players

New Delhi: The second Test between India and England is set to begin on February 13. Team India has got a big relief before the second Test. Left-arm spin bowler Akshar Patel is fully fit and will play another Test match. Akshar Patel has been included in the four-Test squad due to Ravindra Jadeja.

Akshar Patel’s debut Test match was considered a fix. But a day before the match, Akshar Patel was injured and the wait for his start was long. Nadeem got a chance to play the first Test instead of Akshar Patel.

However, Nadeem had a very disappointing performance in the first Test. Rahul Chahar was also included in the team along with Nadeem after Akshar’s injury. Now that Akshar Patel is fit, both Nadeem and Rahul Chahar have once again sent players for reserve players.

Akshar Patel is getting ready to play

The team management has already made it clear that Akshar Patel will be part of the 11-man squad to replace Nadeem in the second Test starting February 13. However the sword is hanging over Washington Sundar as Akshar Patel is fit.

Washington Sundar scored 85 off the bat in the first Test but his bowling was very disappointing. For the spinners, failed to take a single wicket on a beautiful pitch. Not only that, Sundar spent runs at an economy rate of around 4. Kuldeep Yadav could get a place in playing 11 instead of Sundar.
