Google removes 3 apps from Play Store, steals children’s data

New Delhi: The app has to go through many security cycles before it hits the Google Play Store, though there are many apps that come to the Play Store that can harm users.

Google removes any such app immediately and has recently removed three apps from its Play Store. The three apps were stealing children’s data, and the Digital Accountability Council (IDCA) has expressed concern. If you have this app in your mobile, delete it immediately.

Google has deleted the Princess Salon, Number Coloring and Cats & Cosplay apps from its Play Store. IDCA noted that these three apps were collecting users’ data and that these apps were designed for children. It is clear that the apps were collecting children’s information and in doing so violated the rules of the Google Play Store. Presumably, the data collected by the apps was being sent to a third party.

“We take action whenever an app violates the rules,” Google said. “Our research shows that the data practice of these apps raises some serious questions and is worrisome,” said Quentin Pulfe, president of IDCA.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Of course, both Google and Apple have strict rules regarding apps that collect children’s data. In addition to collecting children’s information, the apps are not given the rights to send and control this information to third parties.
