Shiv Sena demands in Lok Sabha that Center should intervene to get reservation for Maratha community

The issue of reservation of Maratha community has been referred to the bench of the Supreme Court. This has created confusion in the Maratha community in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare has demanded in Parliament that the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene immediately to get the reservation of this right.

After the 102nd Amendment, states have the right to give reservation to a particular community by giving them backward status. However, MP Rajan Vichare demanded that the dilemma created by this should be resolved immediately and justice should be given to the Maratha community.

This is the problem of the four crore Maratha community in the country and concrete efforts need to be made to lift the stay granted by the Supreme Court. However, Rajan Vichare demanded that the central government should help the Maharashtra government for this. He also suggested that the Maratha Reservation Act be included in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution and demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself take the initiative to resolve this burning issue.
