Shining went on to hit a ‘hit wicket’, Pandya set a shameful record by scoring his own stick

Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders met in the fifth match of the Indian Premier League in the UAE. Batting first, Mumbai scored 195 runs in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma contributed 80 runs. He was well supported by Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya. However, overconfidence hit Panda and he became a hit wicket. With this, a shameful record was set in his name.

Mumbai were bowled out by Rohit Sharma. After Rohit’s dismissal, the responsibility fell on Hardik Panda. He also raised hopes by hitting a few shots. However, in the 19th over, his bat hit the stumps of a yorker ball and he hit 18 runs.

Pandya was dismissed in the third ball of Russell’s over. Earlier, he hit 18 off 12 balls with two sixes. Meanwhile, he is the 11th player to hit a wicket in the IPL and this is the first time Russell has taken a wicket in this manner.
