A clash broke out between security personnel and militants in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. It has succeeded in eliminating three terrorists. A search is still underway in the area.
Meanwhile, a local woman along with a CRPF officer was injured in an encounter with the terrorists. The injured officer is identified as Rahul Mathur and is undergoing treatment at an Army hospital. The injured woman has been identified as Kauser Jaan. He was released after treatment, Jammu and Kashmir police said.

Meanwhile, security forces received information that terrorists were hiding in Batmaloo area of Srinagar on Wednesday night. Troops then cordoned off the area and told the militants to surrender. However, the jawans retaliated by firing on the terrorists. A woman was killed and two CRPF personnel were injured in the clashes.
