Breaking – Great blow to Modi government, Shiromani Akali Dal out of NDA

The Modi government at the Center has been hit hard and the Shiromani Akali Dal has decided to quit the NDA. The Shiromani Akali Dal has quit the NDA in protest of the Agriculture Bill. The decision was taken at a meeting of the core committee on Saturday. Earlier, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur had also resigned over the Agriculture Bill.
Meanwhile, the Shiromani Akali Dal is the second largest party to leave the NDA during the second term of the Modi government. Earlier in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena had quit NDA. The Shiromani Akali Dal has been a part of the NDA for the last 22 years.

The Modi government’s recently passed agriculture bill is being opposed across the country. The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) decided to pull out of the NDM after the opposition rallied across the country. Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal decided to quit the ND, accusing the government of being anti-farmer.
