Invisible City on Netflix
Invisible City arrived on Netflix on February 5th, 2021.
The seven-episode series tells the story of Eric, an officer from the Environmental Police Department whose whole reality is turned on its head after a dead river dolphin washes up on a beach.
Eric’s discovery leads helps him to uncover a mysterious hidden world, occupied by mythical beings from Brazilian folklore.
Where was Inisible City filmed?
- Invisible City was filmed in Rio de Janeiro and Ubatuba, São Paulo in Brazil.
Much of Invisible City takes place in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, so it’s fitting that the Netflix used the city as a filming location.
This is especially obvious in episode 1 as local landmarks such as Sugarloaf Mountain are prominent throughout.
On top of that, Invisible City also takes viewers out into the jungle and these scenes appear to have been filmed in Ubatuba in the state of São Paulo which is surrounded by lush forests.
Location spotlight: Rio de Janeiro
