NCIS season 18: How many episodes?

Season 18 of NCIS will be made up of 16 episodes in total.

So, it’s actually a shorter season than audiences have grown accustomed to over the years, as seasons 7 to 16 were made up of 24, while season 17 had 20.

As for what else to expect this season, we have already learnt that Maria Bello has announced she will be leaving the show, and we may learn more about her exit in episode 7.

She has portrayed Special Agent Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane for three seasons of NCIS.

Why is Maria Bello leaving NCIS?

As highlighted by Cinema Blend, Maria’s departure from NCIS marks the ending of her original contract, which included season 15 through to 17.

However, season 17 was cut short ahead of its 400th episode, meaning that Jack wasn’t given the farewell she deserved.

Thus, we can expect to say goodbye to the character this season instead.

Considering why she left, no reason has been explained. Although, considering she’s writing and producing the forthcoming movie The Woman King, perhaps she simply wished to pursue other avenues and opportunities rather than continue on NCIS.

In other news, All American fans are worried for Darnell.
