Turkey raises Kashmir issue at UN Human Rights Council, India raises strong objection


New Delhi: The Indian government has raised objections to Turkey raising the issue of Kashmir in the United Nations Human Rights Council. Notably, the issue of Kashmir was raised by the Turkish Foreign Minister during his speech at the council meeting.

It is wrong to interfere in India’s internal affairs – Government of India sources

Indian government sources told the media on the issue that it was completely wrong for Turkey or any other country to interfere in India’s internal affairs. Also, there is no reasonable reason for these countries to do so. Sources said that whether it is Turkey or Malaysia or China, they often raise the issue of Kashmir in various forums at the request of Pakistan, which has no seriousness.

Notably, in view of this attitude of Turkey, neither after the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir nor now to re-establish 4G network in Kashmir or after the election of DDC, Turkey was included in the delegation of foreign diplomats.
