Release date confirmed for Netflix return – HITC

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts will return to Netflix for season 3 much sooner than we expected, but when does the series premiere?

Representation has always been a major issue for animated series, but it is fantastic to see shows like She-Ra and the Princess of Power, The Hollow and Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts do so well around the world.

Season 1 of Kipo was loved by millions of people of all age groups for its quick-witted humour, slick storytelling and character development.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts season 2 only released back in June, but it looks like the gang will be getting back together sooner than expected.

Will there be a Kipo season 3?

It’s good news for fans of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, the series has been officially renewed for a third season. Whilst this announcement is welcomed, not many of us will be too surprised.

Both seasons of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts have been loved by millions of fans around the world, making the series one of the flagship Netflix original series of the past years.

Not only that, but the serues has received excellent reviews from critics and currently scores an impressive 8.3/10 on IMDB and an incredible 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts season 3: Release date

  • Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts season 3 will premiere on Netflix on Monday, October 12th, 2020.

Production on Kipo has been surprisingly quick, with just six months between seasons 1 and 2, and just two months between seasons 2 and 3 releasing on Netflix.

There were concerns that the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic could delay production on the third season, but it seems like the third season was already in production when the second season premiered in June.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts season 3: Plot

Compared to the first season, the recent instalment moved at a much slower pace regarding the overall story arc. However, this change of pacing worked really well for the season 2 narrative; building the characters on a more emotional turn than many of us expected.

Kipo has almost completed her ‘self-discovery’ arc and we are learning more and more about humanity. However, we get a feeling that there is a lot more to unpack with Scarlemagne going into the third season.
