Primark poster and yellow lines!

A Primark poster appearing on the Bridgerton set? Surely not! But, it seems that it is so. As far as eagle-eyed viewers are concerned, anyway.

Romantic drama series Bridgerton premiered on Netflix on December 25th 2020. Since its launch, the Netflix series has been a huge hit with viewers. It was renewed for a second series on January 21st, 2021.

Storylines involving deceit, drama, tears, romance and absolute scandal make up the first series of Bridgerton. Narrated by Julie Andrews and starring Ben Miller, the Netflix series has gone down a treat with a score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Primark poster in Bridgerton

Although Bridgerton is set in 19th century England, it looks as though the high street was pretty modernised as viewers have spotted a Primark poster on set in one of the Netflix series’ scenes.

While many have spotted the filming location, adjacent to Primark, others wondered why anyone would be taking their attention away from the series’ cast members.

Some Bridgerton viewers remarked that they hadn’t noticed any modern-day errors on the show as they’d been busy following the storylines of Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and co.

Where is Bridgerton filmed?

Although the period drama is said to take place in London, Bridgerton was filmed in Bath.

For any residents of Bath, it’s pretty obvious where some of the scenes are filmed including Bath street where many high street shops are located.

Once locations are spotted, they almost can’t be unseen as many viewers of the show took to Twitter to say that they knew where some scenes were taking place.

Twitter reacts to the Primark poster

Eagle-eyed fans of the Netflix show have not only noticed a Primark poster, but double yellow lines on the roads, modernised doorbells and pipework on the front of houses has also been spotted.

Many Bridgerton viewers took to Twitter to tell of their findings including radio DJ Toby Anstis.

One Twitter user wrote: “#Bridgerton is great unless you know Bath and realise they’re filming next to Primark”.

Another said: “So glad I’m not in the movies. It would forever ruin the enjoyment of watching. I’m loving #Bridgerton but…when ur watching them walk down the rd in period clothing knowing that #primark is on their left it kinds ruins it”.
