Netflix release date, plot and cast revealed


The trailer for Netflix’s Godzilla Singular Point has just premiered, but what date will the anime release and what do we know so far about the series?

Following the global success of Godzilla vs Kong, fans of Kaiju content will be happy to know that a new anime series is stomping its way over to Netflix.

On April 13th, the trailer for Netflix’s latest original anime series ‘Godzilla Singular Point’ was released on YouTube.

So, does Godzilla Singular Point have an international Netflix release date, what is the plot of the upcoming anime and who voices its cast?

Godzilla Singular Point: Netflix release date

  • The Godzilla Singular Point anime series is set to release internationally on Netflix in June 2021, but a more specific date has not been confirmed.

The anime premiered on Netflix Japan in late-March, before airing on national television networks on April 1st.

Yesterday, April 13th, the official Netflix trailer for Godzilla Singular Point premiered on Netflix and confirmed the series would debut internationally in June 2021.

Unfortunately, a more specific release date remains unknown and will likely not be revealed until mid-May.

Godzilla Singular Point: Plot

At the time of writing, very little information is available about the plot for Godzilla Singular Point – and the trailer isn’t exactly concise about the story either.

What we do know is that the series will primarily focus on Mei Kamino, a female researcher, and Yun Arikawa, a male engineer.

These two young geniuses are faced with the threat of a global extinction event and must work with a wide group of people in order to stop the end of the world.

Godzilla Singular Point: Cast

The official Japanese voice cast has been confirmed, see below for more:

  • Shoya Ishige as Yun Arikawa
  • Taro Kikuchi as Haberu Kato
  • Wataru Takagi as Goro Otaki
  • Ayako Takeuchi as Satomi Kanahara
  • Misaki Kuno as Pero 2
  • Rie Kugimiya as Jung
  • Yohei Azakami as Shunya Sato

At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed that the series will receive an English dubbing – although this is highly likely.
