Is Losing Alice season 2 confirmed? Let’s consider the renewal status of the Apple TV+ psychological thriller series starring Ayelet Zurer.
There are so many streaming services demanding our attention as of late, with some swiftly establishing themselves as essentials in almost no time at all.
Competing with the likes of Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, Apple stepped up to the plate with their very own streaming service, Apple TV+, which launched in November 2019.
Since then, audiences have been treated to a wealth of exciting shows, including The Morning Show, Dickinson, The Servant, Home Before Dark and more. One of the more recent, on the other hand, is Losing Alice.
This Israeli series premiered internationally on the service on Friday, January 22nd 2021 and the finale wraps things up a month later on Friday, February 26th.
So, is Losing Alice season 2 confirmed?
Is Losing Alice season 2 confirmed?
- No, Losing Alice season 2 has not been confirmed.
The series concludes its run on Apple TV+ on Friday, February 26th 2021 and is billed as a mini-series.
There is no concrete reason to anticipate another season. After all, audiences can agree that the title for the finale – ‘The End’ – is apt.
It’s worth addressing that the series first premiered in Israel back in June 2020, over on Hot 3, so a second season probably would have been announced already.
Nevertheless, there are numerous mini-series that have been picked up for a second season due to popularity in the past. The series has received critical acclaim and Ayelet Zurer wouldn’t say no if it meant working with creator Sigal Avin again…
Ayelet Zurer addresses Losing Alice season 2
While in conversation with Decider, the 51-year-old Israeli actress was asked whether she would return if Losing Alice was resurrected for a second season:
“I’ll do anything to work with Sigal again. I had so much fun. We became such close friends, and it would be amazing. I don’t know if this could turn into another thing because I feel like it’s a closed story. So I don’t know what she’s planning, and I’m sure she’s thinking about it. We didn’t talk about that, but definitely yes, I love her.”
She added: “I enjoyed working with her. She really impressed me. It was great working with the other actors. It was one of the highlights of my career, so there’s no way I’m not saying yes the next time she turns to me.”
Taking this into consideration, it’s not worth ruling out a second season entirely.
