Is Dad Stop Embarrassing Me season 2 confirmed? Netflix renewal status explored

Is Dad Stop Embarrassing Me season 2 confirmed? Let’s get the renewal status of the 2021 Netflix series explored. Will there be more episodes?

Netflix continues to prove that you’ll never be short of anything to watch as long as you have a subscription.

The streamer has delivered a diverse array of content so far in 2021, with films from The White Tiger to Thunder Force. However, most associate the platform with TV content, and it certainly hasn’t disappointed in that regard.

Familiar favourites have returned and a string of new shows have emerged, including The Irregulars, Lupin, Fate: The Winx Saga, Firefly Lane, Ginny and Georgia, The One, Behind Her Eyes and more.

One of the latest to arrive is Dad Stop Embarrassing Me.

All 8 episodes were added on Wednesday, April 14th, but is Dad Stop Embarrassing Me season 2 confirmed yet?

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me: Season 2 confirmed?

  • No, Netflix is yet to confirm whether Dad Stop Embarrassing Me has been renewed for a second season.

It’s perhaps far too early to expect any news just yet, as the streamer will likely consider the viewing figures closely before considering whether the show is popular enough to warrant renewal.

Taking this into account, concrete renewal news is likely to emerge in either May or June of this year.

The sitcom stars Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained, Project Power) as Brian Dixon, the heir to a cosmetics company that his mom founded. His 15-year-old Sasha (played by Kyla-Drew) comes to live with him after her own mother passes away.

Jamie performs alongside David Alan Grier – both starred in In Living Color – and Kyla-Drew spoke with Screen Lately recently about working with the pair:

“I’m blessed. This is kind of like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to learn from not only one comedic legend, but two. I learned a great deal, and it was a great experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

Considering it’s a sitcom, there are still plenty of avenues the team could explore in subsequent seasons. So, perhaps fans will be treated to some more scenarios down the line.

If it were renewed in the next couple of months, then it’s likely that season 2 may arrive on Netflix around March / April 2022.
