India has said it is in touch with the government to reduce the inconvenience caused to Indian nationals living in the US. India made the remarks after the White House announced a ban on the entry of immigrants and H-1B visa holders. “We have noted the US government’s ban on the entry of immigrants and non-tourists for three months,” State Department spokesperson Anurag Srivastava told a virtual press conference.
“The partnership between India and the United States makes a significant contribution to people-to-people relations,” he said. The US also acknowledges that skilled Indian professionals have contributed to the growth of the US economy.
