New Delhi: One year after the merger of Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India into Punjab National Bank, another new change is about to take place. PNB has informed on its Twitter account that all account holders should get the new IFSC and MICR (IFSC and MICR) numbers as soon as possible.
Handle this work before March 31st
If you are a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), you have to get a new IFSC and MICR number before March 31. If you do not settle this task in time, then you will not be able to transact digitally. PNB has given its information on its Twitter handle. The PNB has clarified that even after March 31, the old verification will not be valid. Even if they have already been issued as a post dated check.

Procedure for taking new IFSC and MICR
Punjab National Bank has made it clear that all account holders should get a new IFSC and MICR number from their home branch before March 31. In case of any problem, PNB can be contacted at any branch. PNB’s toll free numbers 1800-180-2222 and 1800-103-2222 can also be contacted. PNB can also be contacted by email. For this, the account holder has to mail to email@example.com.
What is the cause of the change
Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI) were merged into PNB on April 1 last year, after which the customers of the two merged banks have now become PNB account holders. PNB has also updated its record. There is no problem with digital transactions in any way, so new IFSCs and MICRs are being issued.
