Throughout the aforementioned shows, the Kryptonian caped crusader has been played by Tyler Hoechlin, who returns alongside Elizabeth Tulloch in Superman & Lois.
Developed for The CW by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti, this new series premiered on Tuesday, February 23rd 2021 and has already impressed audiences with its promising pilot.
As viewers begin to embark on this gripping new journey, it’s worth addressing how many episodes of Superman & Lois we can expect to tuck into…
Superman & Lois: How many episodes?
- Season 1 of Superman & Lois is made up of 15 episodes.
As highlighted by Screenrant, the feature-length premiere does not count as the first two episodes of the series. These are the pilot episode and the Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope special.
If episodes of the show were to air weekly and uninterrupted, season 1 would wrap up in early June.
However, it’s worth acknowledging that filming on the season isn’t actually expected to wrap until mid-June. With this in mind, it’s likely that there may be one or even more breaks in scheduling throughout the forthcoming months.
Taking this into consideration, there’s no way of telling just yet when the finale will reach our screens.

Tyler Hoechlin talks Superman & Lois
Speaking with Collider, Tyler opened up about his thoughts on the show’s treatment of issues many viewers themselves will face:
“… I love that it’s a family show first, that happens to have Superman in it. It’s going to make them much more relatable. There are a lot of things that people are dealing with right now, so to see these people going through those same issues – issues that can’t be solved with heat vision or x-ray vision – there are real problems that those things don’t matter.”
He added: “Super strength doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter that you can fly. You’ve still gotta deal with this stuff. That’s just a deeply humanizing thing that we’ve been able to accomplish with a lot of this.”
