H-1B visa holders to be spouses, Biden’s announcement makes Native Indian IT professionals overjoyed

Native Indians are overjoyed that US President Joe Biden has allowed H-1B visa holders to work with H-4 visa holders. Trump’s proposal was withdrawn on the seventh day after Biden took the helm of the White House, much to the delight of Native Indian IT professionals living in the United States. The United States has the highest number of Indians with H-1B visas working in the IT sector. Former President Donald Trump’s administration has raised questions about whether spouses of H-1B workers will be allowed to work in the United States after four years. However, the Biden administration’s announcement has put an end to all speculation.

Notably, former US President Barack Obama passed a bill during his administration allowing spouses of H-1B visa holders to work in the United States. He was only allowed to work in the United States on an H-4 visa by the Obama administration. There have been several attempts to repeal the law since Trump became president. However, Biden’s decision now brings relief to migrants around the world living in the United States.
