In the midst of the second wave of the Koro epidemic, the country’s food givers, i.e. farmers, have come up with extremely important news. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday transferred the eighth installment of PM Kisan Yojana online to the bank accounts of 9.5 crore farmers across the country. This has greatly benefited the farmers who are waiting for the eighth installment. Under this scheme, which was started to increase the income of farmers in the country, the central government sends Rs 6,000 to farmers’ accounts every year. This amount is transferred to the farmer’s account in three equal installments.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the 8th installment of the PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi. Under this, more than Rs 19,000 crore has been declared for 9.5 crore beneficiary farming families. This means that the PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi will now reach Rs 2,000 crore in the accounts (bank accounts) of 9.5 crore farming families.
Launched by the Narendra Modi government at the Center in December 2018, the scheme provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per annum to small and marginal farmers in the country. The benefit of this scheme is available only to those farmers who have 2 hectares or less of agricultural land.
