A 33-year-old man from India called four women to a fake massage center through a dating app and carried out a robbery of Rs 50 lakh. The case is now being heard in a Dubai court. According to the young man, he arrived at an apartment in the Al Reza area of Dubai in November 2020 through a number given on a dating app. He found four African women here. The women surrounded him and showed him a knife and asked him to open a mobile bank application. He was stabbed in the neck with a knife while he was reluctant. He then transferred about fifty lakh rupees. The young man’s phone was later also kept.
Three Nigerian women have been arrested in connection with the incident, according to Dubai police. A fourth woman is still out of police custody. Police are searching for a fourth woman. One woman who was caught during interrogation said she framed him in the name of providing a massage service through the Tinder app. He also admitted to transferring money outside Dubai and withdrawing money from a credit card. The women are being prosecuted for robbery and hostage-taking. The case is in Dubai court. The next hearing will be held on March 8.
