New Delhi: Flipkart, a world-renowned ecommerce company, is gearing up to reach new heights. The goods and services Flipkart has sold so far in its group will include 25,000 new electric vehicles. To this end, Flipkart has partnered with companies such as Hi-Electric, Mahindra Electric and Piaggio to create e-vehicles. These electric vehicles will be used in the supply system.
Flipkart said in a statement that the move is in line with the company’s commitment to replace logistics fleets with electric vehicles in all cities. The company also said it would help set up charging stations near delivery centers and offices so that such vehicles could be adopted quickly.
Let me tell you that Flipkart has started deploying two-wheeler and 3-wheeler electric vehicles for delivery across the country including Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati and Pune. Explain that the company said in August last year that it would use fully electric vehicles by 2030. It was also announced that the Climate Group will join the global electric vehicle initiative, EV100.
Amazon India also announced a partnership with e-vehicle maker Mahindra Electric on Tuesday. Under it, the company has added about 100 electric vehicles to its delivery network in the country along with Mahindra Electric.
According to the two companies, Amazon’s delivery network in seven cities across the country, including Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Indore and Lucknow, includes about 100 Mahindra Tri-Thrust e-vehicles.
