Does Jennifer die in Black Lightning?

  • No, Jennifer is not dead Black Lightning.

While episode 4 of Black Lightning season 4 doesn’t end well for Jennifer, this likely isn’t the last we’ve seen of her.

In the final moments of episode 4, we see Jennifer fly up into space in the hopes of clearing her head after a recent rough patch.

However, some strange starts to happen and we see Jennifer beginning to pulse with excessive amounts of energy before she explodes.

As fans of the Black Lightning comics will attest, this likely isn’t the last we’ve seen of Jennifer as similar events in the comics see her return as an all-powerful version of Lightning, made up of pure energy.

We see hints of this in episode 4. After Jennifer appears to explode, countless glowing fragments are left floating in space.

But just before the credits start to roll, these fragments start to converge on each other ever so slightly, showing Jennifer starting to reassmble herself into her pure energy form.
