Mumbai: Evergreen actor Anil Kapoor has been in Bollywood for 38 years. His first film ‘Wo Saat Din’ was released on this day. In this film, he played the role of a struggling musician. ‘Wo Saat Din’ was made by Anil Kapoor’s brother Bonnie Kapoor and father Surinder Kapoor. In the 1983 film, Padmini Kolhapuri was opposite Anil Kapoor. On the occasion of completing 38 years, Anil Kapoor has remembered him in a unique way. Anil has posted a picture of his film and today’s picture on Twitter.
Anil was not the first choice for this film
Sharing his picture on social media, Anil Kapoor wrote, “It has been 38 years since the release of ‘Wo Saat Din’. And in these 38 years, you have all put me on the cusp of success. Keep giving me your love for the next 38 years. I will try to stay at this peak with my hard work and your love. Thank you! ” Woh Saat Din was Anil Kapoor’s first film as a lead actor. However, he was not the first choice for the film. Anil Kapoor’s brother Bonnie Kapoor was the first to sign Mithun Chakraborty for the film. Disco Dancer was very successful in 1982, after which Mithun Chakraborty increased his fees. After this, when news came that Bonnie Kapoor was launching her brother, three financiers and two distributors walked out of the film.
Fans gave funny answers
This tweet posted by Anil Kapoor has also been much loved by the fans. One fan wrote that even today if I see your health I would go mad. Looks like you’re 18 years old. One fan wrote – Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jata is my favorite song. One fan wrote that ‘Wo Saat Din’ is my favorite film. This movie is the best comedy scene when you are going to take a bath and the music is humming. While writing his favorite dialogue, a fan has said, ‘Absolutely Jakas, not a hair is crooked, it’s yours sir.
Satish Kaushik’s first film too
Naseeruddin Shah was in a supporting role in ‘Wo Saat Din’. When Bonnie Kapoor offered Naseeruddin Shah the film, he refused to do a supporting role with Anil Kapoor. After this Bonnie Kapoor gave him a big fee. Bonnie Kapoor felt that Naseeruddin Shah’s presence could sell the film to a distributor, as no one knew Anil Kapoor. The funny thing is that Satish Kaushik also made his debut with this film. He received a fee of Rs 201. After this, the duo gave many hits.
