Mumbai: Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shauvik Chakraborty were arrested on September 8 in a drugs case in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by an NDPS court. The 14-day judicial custody was due to end on September 22, but his judicial custody has been extended to October 6. Meanwhile, Riya had earlier applied for bail in Sessions Court, which was denied. Rhea then applied for bail again on September 22. A hearing was scheduled for today (September 23), which has been postponed.
A bail application was filed in the Bombay High Court after Riya’s earlier plea was rejected by the sessions court, which was scheduled to hear the case today.
