Rhea Drugs case: 3 accused not granted bail, adjourned till September 29

Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s case is under investigation. NCB proceedings are ongoing. So far 6 accused in the drugs case are in the judicial custody of the NCB. The Bombay High Court on Friday, September 18, heard the bail pleas of three accused Basit Parihar, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant. The Bombay High Court has adjourned it till September 29. Basit Parihar, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant have not been granted bail.

On September 29, the Additional Solicitor General may respond to the High Court’s observations on Section 27A of the NDPS Act. This is an important section for the NCB in this regard. As a result, the accused have not yet been granted bail.

Earlier, the sessions court in Mumbai had rejected the bail pleas of the trio. Samuel Miranda was Sushant’s staff manager. Miranda’s drug chat with Riya and Shovik was revealed. Basit is a drugs peddler. Dipesh Sawant was a staff member of Sushant Singh Rajput.

At the same time, Riya Chakraborty is currently lodged in Byculla Jail. Riya Chakraborty’s bail application has been denied twice. Riya will have to stay in Byculla jail till September 22. Riya’s brother Shovik is also in NCB custody.
