Famous film star Ashalata’s death due to corona, mourning in the film world
Famous Marathi, Hindi film and theater star Ashalata Wabgaonkar died of covine-19 at a private hospital in Satara due to corona. Ashalata, 79, has been battling the corona virus for four days. His condition was critical after he was admitted to a private hospital for the past one week. He died at the hospital Tuesday morning.
The actress, popularly known as Ashalata, was born in Goa and contracted Kovid-19 during the shooting of a television serial. Ashalata has acted in many hit Hindi films. His first Bollywood film was Zanjeer. Ashalata played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s stepmother. The film was released in 1973.
